Green Living Designing Fresh Paint Pictures And Wallpaper

Color in interior decoration is an important element that can create an atmosphere of a room. Determining an appropriate color in interior design to create the atmosphere of the house was lively and passionate. When you come into a room, youll see first is a mixture of color space.

The green color of stay is usually associated with white or gray, as you can see the green room interior design living in this post. The green color can be paired with a sleek silver, black or white Krome. In fact, there is no specific reference in determining the mix of colors of the room, and apparently we must be careful to combine colors are there, so the color scheme seems to be balanced, harmonious, and can desaturate. The green color of the living room to give freshness and coolness to residents and visitors. Good luck trying your living room furniture.

Mural Unique And Fresh Interior Design Home

People are much more beautiful if the color of the walls painted white, because they see it everywhere. And the dark or black? Rarely, people who think black paint to add color to your room? What is the right choice of black or something far more than an illusion?

Very true, if you paint your room is big business, you must carefully examine the entire room, furniture, flooring, fabrics, and also the way of natural light in the mixing wananya, even if they fit what you have in the room.

Questions about the black paint is a good choice? Many people will say that they do not agree, because the color was too dark. Generally, these colors are used in a more modern theme, a more contemporary theme. But you can also add color with traditional furniture.

The color black is often the dominant space, so you will use black and white. In fact, I like the combination of that, but I always recommend that you add at least one strong accent color, which is rarely used in the vicinity of the room. Remember that your eyes are the color and not just stuck on a black wall you want as a backdrop, and eyes bounce around the room with other colors for the room.

Accent color is a color that can go have fun beautiful bright yellow or orange, purple or blue also works well. Have fun walk on the wild side a little, after all, if you do not you just paint over.

Scale making a small room look bigger and a big room feel cozier

You walk into a room and you feel like you are  Gulliver in Lilliput, or maybe the other way around as if this room is too big for you. What should you do?

If you get the sense as if the dimensions of the room are smallish - meaning you are like Gilliver walking in Lilliput - you want to create the illusion as if your room is spacious.
Getting the feeling of small doesnt mean that your room is really small, it means we need to work and organize it so you will not get that feeling anymore.

Here are some ground rules for you to follow:
First, Think Small.
You dont need kids furniture, but you also dont need the four seater sofa. Make sure your furniture scale is small. Window treatments are simple. If you are using fabrics with patterns, make sure the design motif is small.

Second, use Light colors on the walls and Dark color for the furniture.
Light colors on the walls expand the sense of space. If you are using drapes, use a light colors for them as well.

Small Living room that feels just right

Do you know the phrase, "Black makes you look thinner". This phrase does also apply to your furniture.
Maybe not in these exact words but the concept is the same. Darker furniture look "better" in a smaller space. If you use a light colored upholstery fabric, you make the furniture look bigger.
Again if you want to use pattern on the furniture, choose a motif with a small design.

Third, Aim for unity.
Try to use matching furniture with the same fabric on them. Window treatments that continue the flow of the walls and not break it up (if you are using a wall paper, try to use a matching drape).

You get the idea on a small room, now what do we do for a big room? exactly the opposite.
A large living room that feels nice and cozy
For a large room we want to give a cozy feeling, so our ground rules should be:
First, Thinking BIG.
Big furniture, elaborated window treatments. Big and bold patters on your upholstery.

Second, Dark colors on the walls - Light colors on the furniture.
When painting the walls in a darker color we get the illusion that the walls are much closer than they really are.
As appose to the smaller room, we want our furniture to have the feeling of big, so we need them to be in a light color and/or with a big and bold patters, otherwise they can "get lost" in the room.

Third, Diversity.
A large living room that makes you feel as its too empty
Big rooms can handle different patters on the furniture (just dont take it to the extreme with each piece with a different patter).  You want the window treatments to stand out in contrast to the rest of the walls so they break out the large expanse of the walls. You can also use an Oriental rug.

Decorating your room is a challenge, but now you know what to do.

Till next time,
Tali

Simon Pearce Evergreen Trees and 3 Fine Grains Giveaway Winner!

Several Christmases ago Dave presented me a beautiful box tied with a purple ribbon. I unwrapped the most gorgeous crystal evergreen tree. I had never seen one before, but Dave spied it in the city and knew I would love it. It remains one of my most cherished gifts. Each year he adds to my collection. My Simon Pearce Crystal Evergreen Trees remain my favorite collection.
.

I keep them out all year, but during the holidays I add my collection of antique mirror and mercury glass trees. All together they make a spectacular display in the Conservatory on our piano. They reflect the snow and sunlight during the day and Christmas tree lights in the evening.

They are really stunning and a true work of art as each one is hand blown by master artisans in Vermont.

This year Simon Pearce added the bubble trees. These have tiny air bubbles in them to imitate snow. They are very pretty too, and prefer them mixed in with the clear ones.

Simon Pearce has a wonderful video showing the intense process and mastery needed to create one of these beautiful trees. You can view it HERE.

The Boston store has this wonderful table display using the trees as an interesting centerpiece. I just may want to create a similar display on Christmas Day on my own holiday table. The way they sparkle and catch the light is just magical.
Finally congratulations to Morning T for winning our Grain Sack Christmas Tree. Enjoy, Enjoy!!
And another big thank you to Kymberley Fraser of 3 Fine Grains for such a generous giveaway!
May you all enjoy this wonderful week!
